Prioritizing Your Mental Health

You may be wondering what does mental health have to do with leadership.

EVERYTHING!

If you’re not at a great place mentally, you’re not going to be an effective leader and you’re more likely to be miserable as well.

Being an effective leader is highly emotional because people are emotional beings whether they are expressive or not.

If you haven’t worked through past traumas no matter how small they may seem, it could be affecting you in the present and making you less affective.

I’ve been more intentional about speaking up about the importance of mental health and especially therapy especially for black men lately and this episode goes deeper into that in the first half of the episode.

It’s a powerful story of triumph despite terrifying circumstances.

I talk with Archie Karpeh in this episode of IncrediPaul Leadership and he shares about overcoming the experiences of war and becoming an incredible innovator in the medical field.
