CONFIDENCE HACK IN LEADERSHIP

New episodes of the Podcast are officially BACK this week!

Those last 5 weeks? They flew by and honestly, and it was the longest I’ve gone without releasing an episode since my first year of podcasting in 2022.

WILD!

So, what better way to jump back in than with a convo about confidence in leadership. Because if you’ve ever thought, “I don’t feel confident enough for this…” you’re not alone!

Imposter syndrome and shaky confidence are real, but the question is: how do you actually overcome them as a leader?

It usually comes down to what we’re focusing on. Maybe you just got promoted, landed a new project, or stepped into a role that feels way bigger than you. That’s when the doubt creeps in.

And no, I don’t think “fake it till you make it” is the move. People can usually tell, and even if they can’t, it doesn’t make you feel any better.

Here’s what does help..

Be transparent, but keep working!

Say when you don’t know something BUT also commit to learning it or pulling in the right people.

That mix of honesty + accountability actually deepens trust with your team instead of breaking it or challenges your competency.

I tried this myself last year when I was going through a rough patch. My team respected that honesty and supported me while I worked through it.

It reminded me how much we all value authenticity and relatability especially when it’s paired with growth.

This week’s guest lives that out in such a powerful way. Deb Coviello is an empathetic leader, author, speaker, and top 1.5% podcast host of The Drop In CEO. We dive into confidence, connection, and leadership and so much more this week’s episode.

YOU don’t want to miss this one!

TL:DR?

Confidence in leadership isn’t about “faking it till you make it.” It’s about being transparent, owning what you don’t know, and committing to growth. Vulnerability builds trust and accountability and it can actually deepen relationships with your team. This week’s episode with Deb Coviello dives into how confidence and connection go hand in hand.
