Check out last week’s newsletter: She Told Me My Podcast Name Sucked

Why “How” > “What”
The Friday Spiral
As a recovering perfectionist, when things don’t go to plan, my brain’s immediate reaction is to spiral, so I need to be super intentional about checking my negative self-talk, so I don't end up taking setbacks too personally.
This past Friday was another test.
In case you missed it: outside of building the IncrediPaul universe (coaching, speaking, and sweating it out with fitness and leadership content), I’m also an R&D Engineer for one of the largest global CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) companies in the world. Think of all the products/brands you see in Walmart, Target, Amazon, etc. and that’s what we make food products for.
Since the start of the year, I’ve been working on an innovation project with a 2027 launch. Things had been going suspiciously smooth. Expecting that to continue was probably my first mistake. We had a major trial run on Friday, complete with global visitors, and literally everything that could go wrong, did. It was just problem after problem. By the end of an exhaustingly long day, we managed to salvage some learnings, but we landed nowhere near where I wanted us to be.
The Plot Twist
Before heading out, I touched base with the site leadership that was still there (2 of them) to let them know I'd be back to regroup with the broader team and share a report of next steps.
Because my R&D group’s entire job is leading change (which, let's be real, most people hate), we aren't always the most popular people in most rooms we enter.
But their response completely caught me off guard. They looked at me and said, "We’re thankful that we get to have you back for this project."
That hit me hard. It was a massive reminder that HOW you do something matters just as much, if not more, than WHAT you do.
Over the last year, I’ve been really intentional about building genuine relationships with the site as the first time I was there was last fall. That reputation saved me on a day when the actual work was failing after a long day to end the week.
Remember that, especially when you're navigating corporate spaces. I want to make sure you’re setting yourself up for success!
Entering a New Era
That exact energy, putting the focus on relationships, community, and how we show up for others, is exactly why I’m making a pivot with my content.
I know I buried the lead on the rebrand I hinted at last week, but drumroll, please
...
Starting this September, “IncrediPaul Leadership” is officially evolving into the “Be Incredible Podcast”!
It’s a slight name change (with fresh cover art dropping soon!), but a huge shift in focus. The podcast name shows that is no longer about me; it is 100% about YOU as the listener.
I’m keeping the same positive, high-energy, and information you expect, but I’m expanding beyond strict leadership topics to bring you even more value!
Free Coaching (Yes, Really)
To celebrate the new era, I’m doing something crazy. I’m offering FREE coaching. Yes, literally free. If you want in, just reply directly to this email for the details! Spots are very limited and once they’re gone, they’re gone!
Also, a huge shoutout to those already in our ambassador program for always helping to spread the word. Let’s keep being intentional with the how, stay tapped into the new pod, and continue to Be Incredible!
⏱️TL;DR I had a massive setback at my 9-to-5 this week, which was a solid reminder that your reputation and how you treat people will save you when the actual work goes sideways. Channeling that community focus, I’m officially rebranding the show to the Be Incredible Podcast this September! To celebrate the new era, I’m giving away FREE coaching—just reply directly to this email to claim a spot.
