Purpose In Leadership
Do you know what your purpose is?
What about your mission statement?
These can be seemingly deep, insurmountable questions to ask yourself, but they’re also very important to make sure you’re on the right path.
“If you don’t know where you’re going, any path will take you there.”
A lot of times, people get their purpose from a job title. Trust me I’ve been there, but what happens when the job isn’t what you thought or even worse.. you get laid off or fired?
Do you lose your purpose with no job or is this just the beginning of finding purpose?
For me, I’m walking out my purpose every day of being an encouragement and being intentional about empowering those I come across. Whether that’s through IncrediPaul, NALA(STEM) or work as an engineer. My purpose is the same, but may look different in certain situations.
Societal norms often dictate how we should navigate our careers and personal lives and hence our purpose, and I got deep into this topic with a purpose coach in this episode of the show who shared 3 unique factors to determine your purpose.
I talk with Shaneice Miller Thomas who is a Certified Maxwell Leadership Coach, Trainer, Speaker, and Behavior Analyst. We go deep into the value of purpose and communication in leadership in this episode.
