Being a Relational Leader

Episode 74 w/ Richard Nakai

BEING A RELATIONAL LEADER

Check out last week’s newsletter: The Power of Influence

Being a relational leader is very critical to being impactful in your leadership. John Maxwell says, “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” We all bring all whole selves to work whether or not we realize it. We need to learn to build effective relationship as leaders.

Don’t get me wrong, this doesn’t mean you have to be best friends with the people you’re leading. BUT.. you do need to know what they’re passionate about and how to inspire them and connect with them. In this episode, I get to talk to a mentor and long time friend about his journey to leadership and what he saw in me as a leader when I was growing up.

In this episode, I talk with Richard Nakai who is a self-proclaimed utility leader and after listening to this episode you'll see why. He is currently the Outreach Pastor at Bellevue Christian Center, and he shares his journey in leadership and the power of building relationships in leadership!
