This Is Why Titles Do Not Equate to Leadership

Check out last week’s newsletter: The Skill No One Teaches You in STEM

Power Without Character Is Not Leadership

Well he did again and I wish I could say that I was surprised but I’m not sure anything could surprise me anymore when it comes to him files or no files…

The “he” I’m referring to is none other than the President of the United States… Donald J. Trump

He did something racist and the White House tried to gaslight us, but no one was having that so now it’s deleted, but like I said not shocking to me with all he’s done so far.

But it does make me sad to see someone that’s in the highest political office in United States and arguably the world behaving in a way that would be ridiculed by teenagers. I won’t share what he did but a quick google search and you’ll probably find it.

The only thing I’ll share is that it involved the Obamas.

Poor leadership makes me sad and it’s one of the reasons I built IncrediPaul to become the leader that I always wanted.

Obviously this didn’t happen overnight and leadership is a journey and I don’t think anyone truly arrives because once you think you have, then you start to drift.

And this is where I want to be very clear about something.

If you are reading this and thinking, “I don’t want to become that kind of leader,” then you should not have to figure this out alone.

Leadership is learned in community. It is sharpened through mentorship, honest conversations, and being surrounded by people who actually care about becoming better humans, not just more impressive resumes.

That is exactly why I created the IncrediPaul Ambassador Program.

It is for Gen Z professionals especially in STEM and allies who want to be intentional about their leadership. People who want guidance, accountability, and real conversations about growth, character, and influence. People who believe leadership should be rooted in empathy, integrity, and courage.

As an Ambassador, you are not just supporting a brand. You are being mentored, investing in your own growth, and helping build a community that pushes back against the kind of leadership we are all too used to seeing.

A community that believes you can be brilliant and decent. Technical and human. Ambitious and grounded.

If that sounds like the kind of leader you want to become, then this was written for you.

Because the future of leadership is not loud, cruel, or careless.

It is intentional. It is empathetic. And it starts with people like you choosing to be incredible.

TL;DR

Watching poor leadership at the highest level is disappointing, but it is also clarifying. Leadership is not about titles or power. It is about character, accountability, and how you show up when you have influence. Gen Z professionals in STEM do not have to accept the leadership they see modeled. Through intentional growth, mentorship, and community like the IncrediPaul Ambassador Program, you can choose to become a different kind of leader. One rooted in empathy, integrity, and courage.

In this conversation, Paul Faronbi interviews Hannah Bauer, founder of Heartnomics, who shares her inspiring journey of overcoming a life-threatening heart condition and how it shaped her approach to leadership. Hannah emphasizes the importance of love, trust, and community in leadership, and discusses the need for leaders to embrace their scars and learn from their experiences. She highlights the significance of mentorship, integrity, and the alignment of purpose with daily activities, especially for the younger generation. The conversation is rich with insights on avoiding burnout, the role of passion in leadership, and the necessity of building trust within teams.

LEADERSHIP QUOTE

“I don't have to chase extraordinary moments to find happiness - it's right in front of me if I'm paying attention and practicing gratitude.”
